Regiondo Alternative: Options for European Tour and Activity Providers

Regiondo is a strong European platform. Here is what it does well, what to get in writing, and when another option fits better.

Regiondo has been selling booking software to European leisure businesses since 2011, and it shows. Local payment methods, local marketplaces, support in the operator's own language and data kept in Europe are built into the product rather than bolted on. For many tour, activity and attraction businesses it is a sensible choice.

Operators still search for alternatives, usually for one of three reasons: they cannot work out what the platform will cost at their volume, they do not want a twelve-month commitment, or they sell mainly outside the markets Regiondo knows best. This guide covers each one fairly — including the cases where staying put is the right answer.

What Regiondo does well

Regiondo's strengths are specific and real, and any honest comparison starts with them:

  • European depth. Its deepest presence is in the German-speaking markets, France, Italy, Spain, Greece and Croatia, with local payment methods, currencies, marketplaces and language support in each.
  • Attractions as well as tours. Ticketing, a ticket-scanning app, vouchers and gift certificates, and a walk-in booking flow suit venues, parks and museums as much as guided tours.
  • Data and compliance. Regiondo states that customer data stays in Europe and that it is GDPR and PCI DSS compliant.
  • Hands-on onboarding. Every customer gets a personal onboarding manager, and Regiondo handles migration from a previous system.

If those are the things your business depends on, an alternative has to match them before price even enters the conversation.

How Regiondo prices

According to Regiondo's pricing page, checked in October 2026, there are three plans:

  • Grow — €59 a month, for up to three users, with the booking widget, payments, channel manager, calendar, tickets and scanning app.
  • Pro — €99 a month, adding unlimited users, API access and webhooks, offer bundles and guest self-service for changes and cancellations.
  • Enterprise — custom pricing for high-volume operators.

On every plan, online bookings carry what Regiondo calls a small per-booking fee, and offline bookings carry no extra fee. Plans are billed monthly on a one-year contract, with 10% off for paying the year upfront. A website builder is available as a €1,000 one-time add-on.

Worth knowing: Regiondo's own pages describe its pricing in different ways. The pricing page says flat monthly fee, no commission, alongside the per-booking fee. An older product page says customers pay a fixed price plus ticket and resource usage fees, and that there are no long-term contracts. Comparison sites quote several conflicting figures. We are not repeating any of them.

None of this means anything is hidden — it means the numbers that decide your cost come from a sales conversation, not a web page. So ask for them in writing: the per-booking fee in euros, any usage fee and what it is calculated on, whether the fees apply to marketplace bookings, the contract term, renewal and notice period, and whether prices include VAT.

Why operators look elsewhere

The reasons are structural rather than about quality:

  • Cost you cannot model in advance. With the per-booking figure unpublished, you cannot work out your annual cost before a demo, or compare it like for like.
  • A twelve-month commitment. Fine for an established business; harder for a new one, or one testing software for the first time.
  • Demo-led buying. Every plan on the pricing page routes to a demo rather than a self-serve trial, so you cannot test with your own products on your own schedule.
  • Team size on the entry plan. Grow covers three users; a fourth guide or office hire means moving to Pro.
  • Features still arriving. Regiondo's feature table lists pricing rules as coming soon, which matters if you price by season, demand or group size.
  • Markets outside Europe. Regiondo's strength is local European coverage. Operators selling mainly elsewhere get less of what they would be paying for.

If none of these apply to you, you probably do not need an alternative.

The alternatives compared

Figures come from each company's own pages, checked in October 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, the table says so rather than borrowing someone else's estimate.

Platform Monthly plans Online booking fee Offline bookings Commitment and trial
Regiondo €59 / €99 / custom Small per-booking fee, figure not published No extra fee One-year contract; demo
Bókun $49 / $149 / $499 1.5% / 1.25% / 1%; none on Viator bookings Free 14-day trial
TrekkSoft €49 / €149 / €249 From 2%, plus a 2.5% + €0.25 payment fee Check Check
Travelity $39 / $139 / $399 1.9% 0% Billed monthly; 21-day trial, no card

Bókun and Travelity bill in US dollars, so convert at the day's rate when comparing subscriptions. The subscription gap between any two of these is a few dozen euros a month. At real volume, the per-booking fee matters more.

What the fees mean per booking

Percentages convert into any currency, which makes per-booking cost the cleanest comparison. On a €60 online booking:

  • Bókun START at 1.5% is €0.90 — and nothing on bookings that arrive through Viator.
  • Travelity at 1.9% is €1.14.
  • TrekkSoft at its lowest published 2% is €1.20, before its payment fee.

At 150 online bookings a month, €9,000 of sales, that is €135, €171 and €180 respectively. Bókun is cheaper than Travelity on the percentage, and we would rather say so than leave you to find out.

For Regiondo, put the per-booking figure from your quote next to these. If your average booking is €60 and Regiondo's fee comes in under €1.14, it costs less per booking than Travelity; above that, more. If your average booking is higher, a fixed fee per booking becomes relatively cheaper than a percentage — so run the comparison at your own price point, not ours. Our pricing comparison guide covers the full method.

OTA and marketplace connectivity in Europe

European demand runs through the global marketplaces — GetYourGuide, Viator and others — plus regional and national resellers that matter a great deal in individual markets. Platforms differ more here than anywhere else:

  • Regiondo connects to GetYourGuide and Viator and lists local OTAs and resellers in each of its markets. This is a genuine advantage for operators in its core countries.
  • Bókun reports connections to more than 2,600 OTAs and resellers, and sits inside the Tripadvisor group alongside Viator.
  • Travelity runs live two-way availability sync with GetYourGuide, Viator, Trip.com and Google Things to Do, with more connections in progress. That is a narrower list. Travelity is also an OCTO Certified Supplier, meaning it supports the open connectivity standard many resellers use to link to suppliers, and a separate, paid OTA setup service helps operators get listed on further marketplaces.

Whichever you shortlist, list every channel that sent you a booking last season and ask of each one: is this a live two-way connection, or manual updating? Does the platform's booking fee apply to bookings from this channel? An unconnected regional reseller that sells a fifth of your tickets matters more than a long list of channels you never use.

Switching without losing bookings

  • Start with the contract. Note your term end and notice period; time the switch for it, ideally in your quiet season.
  • Export three things: future bookings, guest records, and any vouchers or gift certificates sold but not yet redeemed. Vouchers are easy to forget and expensive to dishonor.
  • Rebuild, then reconnect. Recreate products and availability, then connect each marketplace and check that every product maps to the right listing.
  • Overlap briefly. Run both systems for a short period, then switch the website widget last, after a test booking completes end to end.

Our guide to implementing booking software without disrupting your season covers parallel running and rollback in detail.

Who each option suits

  • Stay with Regiondo if you run a ticketed attraction or venue, sell heavily through local European resellers, rely on local payment methods, or need support in your own language. That combination is hard to replicate.
  • Consider Bókun if Viator brings a large share of your bookings, or you want the lowest published percentage. Our Bókun guide covers the trade-offs.
  • Consider TrekkSoft if you want point of sale, waivers and a website builder in one system and will use most of them.
  • Consider Travelity if you want to pay month to month, see your booking fee before you talk to anyone, pay nothing on offline bookings, and sell mainly through GetYourGuide, Viator, Trip.com, Google Things to Do and your own website — in Europe or beyond.

How Travelity helps

Travelity is billed monthly with no annual contract. Starter is $39 a month for up to five users with unlimited products and bookings; online bookings carry 1.9% and offline bookings nothing. Dynamic pricing is included on every plan, and a website builder comes with Professional. The booking widget and channel sync keep availability consistent across your site and connected marketplaces, the Trip Proposal Builder handles private and multi-day requests, and guests can be checked in by QR code on every plan. Payments run through your choice of local or global payment gateways — useful in markets where guests expect a local method.

Where Regiondo is stronger, we will say so: ticketing for venues, vouchers and gift certificates, and local European reseller coverage. Setup and onboarding support are free, and the 21-day trial needs no card, so you can test with your own products before committing — and ask us where your data is hosted, the same question you should ask every vendor.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Regiondo cost?

Regiondo’s pricing page lists Grow at €59 a month for up to three users, Pro at €99 a month with unlimited users, and custom Enterprise pricing. Every plan carries a small per-booking fee on online bookings and no extra fee on offline bookings. The per-booking figure is not published, so ask for it in writing before you compare.

Does Regiondo charge commission?

Regiondo describes its pricing as a flat monthly fee with no commission, and also states that a small per-booking fee applies to online bookings. Another Regiondo page describes paying a fixed price plus ticket and resource usage fees. Ask which fees apply to your account, at what rate, and whether they also apply to marketplace bookings.

Is there a Regiondo contract?

Regiondo’s pricing page says all plans are billed monthly on a one-year contract, with 10% off for paying the year upfront. An older Regiondo page mentions no long-term contracts. Confirm the term, renewal and notice period in writing before signing, and if you are switching away, note when your current term ends.

What is the best Regiondo alternative for European operators?

It depends on why you are looking. Bókun suits operators with a large share of Viator bookings, since it charges no fee on them. TrekkSoft suits operators who want point of sale and waivers in one system. Travelity suits operators who want month-to-month billing, a published booking fee and no fee on offline bookings. Ticketed attractions often do best staying with Regiondo.

How do I switch from Regiondo to another booking system?

Check your contract end date first, then export future bookings, guest records and any unredeemed vouchers. Rebuild products and availability in the new system, reconnect each marketplace and confirm product mapping, and run both systems for a short overlap. Switch the booking widget on your website last, once a test booking has completed end to end.

Bottom line

Regiondo earns its place with European operators through local coverage, attraction features and hands-on onboarding. If those are what you rely on, stay.

If you are looking because you cannot see your costs, do not want an annual contract or sell mainly beyond Regiondo's home markets, get its per-booking fee in writing, put it next to the published rates above at your own average booking value, and let that number make the decision.
